Money is learned together
A website can teach a concept. People change habits. Kuleana Finance grows through schools, libraries, local partners and student leaders, so what students learn here reaches their friends and their ʻohana.
Bring a workshop to your school
Free for any Hawaiʻi school, club, library or community group. Sessions run 45 to 90 minutes and use the same tools you see on this site.

- School and classroom workshops
- It starts where Todd already has roots: the financial futures club at his school is the launch base. Finance 101 sessions run there first, then travel to neighboring high schools across Oʻahu.
- Public library and community workshops
- Free, open-door sessions at Hawaiʻi State Public Library branches and community centers, places every family can reach. No fee, no sign-up wall, plain language.
- Nonprofit and cultural partners
- Working alongside Native Hawaiian-serving and community organizations already doing financial empowerment work, so families meet Kuleana through voices they trust.
- Banking and advisor mentors
- Local bankers, financial advisors and small-business owners guest-teach and mentor. Their stories make the curriculum real, and the relationships become a standing network.
- Student ambassadors
- Peer leaders at other island schools are trained to run sessions themselves, using Kuleana's lesson plans and tools. Outreach stops depending on one person.
- Money fairs and events
- Recurring money fairs, simulator tournaments and guest-speaker nights. Each one is documented, so the community can see what has been done and who came.
How outreach grows, island by island
Five stages, each building on the last.
- 1
Launch at home
Todd's school club anchors the first cohort and proves the model.

- 2
Expand across the island
Workshops reach neighboring high schools, building a network of teachers who invite us back.

- 3
Open the doors publicly
Free sessions at libraries and community centers so any family on the island can take part.
Oʻahu
- 4
Partner for reach and trust
Formal ties with nonprofits, credit unions and local advisors who lend audience and credibility.

- 5
Hand the torch to ambassadors
Student leaders on Maui, Hawaiʻi Island and Kauaʻi carry Kuleana to their own schools.

Year-one goals
Kuleana is just launching, so every counter starts at zero. They update as workshops happen, and each one is backed by a photo, a headcount and a short write-up.
